Oil and water experiment

I chose to do science, and Mommy decided to teach me about mixture.

Mommy started by asking me to predict what happened when she pours Ribena into a cup of water.

Then, Mommy asked me to predict what would happen when she poured some oil onto the water.

Mommy wanted me to mix the water and oil with a spoon.

I observed what happened.

I learned that oil is lighter or less dense than water and therefore it floats.
